NeuroLover operates the NeuroLover desktop app, the NeuroLover Chrome extension, and the associated website neurolover.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. Please read this policy carefully.

  • Sensitive personal data without explicit consent

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To provide, maintain, and improve the NeuroLover extension

  • Personalization: To customize your experience and provide relevant features

  • Communication: To send updates, notifications, and respond to your inquiries

  • Analytics: To understand usage patterns and improve our service

  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

  • Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

3. Storage, Security, and Retention

3.1 Data Storage

Your data is stored using industry-standard secure servers. We use:

  • Encrypted databases

  • Secure cloud infrastructure providers

  • Regular security audits and monitoring

3.2 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission

  • Access controls and authentication

  • Regular security assessments

  • Employee training on data protection

3.3 Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data

  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes

  • Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service

  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw previously given consent at any time

To exercise these rights, please contact us at admin@neurolover.com

6. Cookies and Browser Storage

NeuroLover uses browser storage mechanisms to enhance your experience:

  • Local Storage: To save your preferences and settings

  • Session Storage: For temporary data during your browsing session

  • Cookies: For authentication (if applicable). Website analytics does not use cookies — see 6.1

You can manage or delete stored data through your browser settings. Note that disabling storage may affect the functionality of the extension.

6.1 Website analytics

The neurolover.com website uses privacy-focused analytics that set no cookies and store nothing on your device. We measure aggregate usage only — which pages are viewed, which downloads are started, and roughly where visitors come from. We do not build a profile of you, do not track you across other websites, and do not sell or share this data with advertisers.

Because nothing is stored on your device and no personal data is collected, no consent banner is required. If you would still rather not be counted, use the analytics opt-out link in the site footer. Choosing to opt out stores a single flag in your browser's local storage so we can remember that choice on your next visit — it is the one thing this measurement ever writes to your device.

7. Children’s Privacy

NeuroLover is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we comply with GDPR requirements and use standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms for data transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

For material changes, we will provide notice through the extension or via email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
